Thomas Blue Braumheim, 2nd from left, lead guitarist of the singing sensation "Walker Brothers", who were famous in the 60's, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. He was 63. More famous in England when the group made a 5 year tour in Europe in the 60's, the Walker Brothers smash records that sold millions of copies include "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine (Anym ore)" and "Make It Easy On Yourself". The group was dissolved when lead singer, Scott Engle, quit. On separate ways, the rest of the mem bers formed their own group and soon were back to the entertainment limelights. Thomas Blue Braumheim, who had reduced his name to Tom Blue as an entertainer paired himself with a brilliant singer and keyboardist Pat Hickey and formed the "Hickey and Blue Group". This magnificent vocal duo hit the world of entertainment from Las Vegas to Reno to Fallon, Winnemucca and Wendover, Nevada. Doing Country and Western with a style and sound, so much like the big stars, Hickey and Blue became regular favorites in the Nevada circuit from Reno Rama da to Bonanza Casino to Cactus Pete's in Jackpot, Stockman's in Fallon and Red Garter in Wendover. Perhaps "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine (Anymore)" for Tom, who had joined Our Lord in eternal peace, but not for the people whom he had left his musical legacy and who had loved him and had believed that he is a great musician. One of a kind this planet ever had. Tom is survived by his wife, Carmen Blue, step-children who he had considered as his own, Valerie, Adrian, Alastair and Nathaniel Desiderio, brother, Steve (Louise), sister, Barbara (Donnie), sister, Susan, beloved in-laws, Pat and Elizabeth, cousins, David (Sally) McCurnin and a very close friend, Johnathan Gould. Tom's remains are being kept by his family and soon will be sent to his original home in Boise, Idaho where he and his wife started as a cou ple.
